Spring By the Sea Fine Arts & Crafts Show
Rockport. April 5, 2008. There will be over 60 craftsmen, artists and artisans displaying and selling their work, including Maine-made handcrafted items, pottery, furniture, woodwork, weaving, linens, metal work, jewelry, photography and fine art paintings. Patriot's Day Weekend in Ogunquit

Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race
Bangor. April 19, 2008. The Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race, held annually on the third weekend of April, is the largest paddling event in New England and one of the largest in the country. Hosted by the Bangor Dept. of Parks & Recreation, the 16.5 mile race begins in the Town of Kenduskeag and ends near the confluence of the Penobscot River in downtown Bangor.
